“Expected more. Especially with the last 30 pages being an after-thought to the author as there was no action. The only real battle wasn't even on the paper. If you want to read war/politics with no in depth info, this is the book for you. The saving grace was how much I loved the characters. Unfortunately they weren't used to make a great story. Maybe could've been better with more info from 3rd person, I'm not sure, but the first book left me expecting greatness and this wasn't it.”
