“Overall I enjoyed this every much! This book started off strong, then the pacing was off in the middle and then ended with bang. I enjoyed the MCs very much and I’m so eager to find out what’s going on with this cliffhanger in book 2!”
“Where to start.. I was really excited to read this one! However, it fell a bit short for me and I’m just gonna list the whys. I feel like the labyrinth was way too easy for the FMC. Too fast, not enough going on for it to have even taken up majority of the book. Next, The KING of ravens, but where are the ravens aside from them being used as transportation? Hopefully that’s elaborated on more in book two, I expected more relevance in that. Last, there’s a talk of blood and a want of it. Fae. The underworld. Are we vampires, fae? Gods? That was lost on me.
Though, aside from the bad, I’d say there was just as much good. The world building was pretty easy to understand, I loved the addition of the collector and my favorite scene throughout the entire book is a damn snowball fight.
AND the cliffhanger. How dare you???”
