A notorious crime baron’s daughter is set to wed the Deputy Chief Constable’s son. The crime baron, Joe Irving, has been freshly released from prison. Peter Diamond, CID head, is put in charge of security for the wedding at the Abbey and reception in the Roman Baths. Hitman Jack Peace keeps getting fouled up while trying to aim...will he be found out before he shoots to kill or will he make his mark.
A great read! Especially if you just want a murder mystery and not to get wrapped up in the main character’s love life (ie. Stephanie Plum & Lacey Flint, not that I mind that most of the time). This was only my second Peter Diamond Investigation book to date, but I will be pursuing the rest of the series.”
