Publisher Description

The next BRAND NEW edge-of-your-seat action thriller from author of Wolf Six, Alex Shaw 💥 Perfect for fans of Tom Wood and Mark Greaney! 📚

'A gritty, action packed adrenaline rush!' - Alan McDermott

Taking a life isn't hard, when you've already given your own.

Ruslan Akulov, the legendary Ukrainian assassin known as Wolf Six, wakes to find the plane he’s on plummeting, and with no real memory of how he got there…

Surviving the crash, only to be detained by a small-town sheriff and accused of two murders, that for once he didn’t commit, Akulov must piece together the fragments of his concussed memory to understand how his last mission in Canada as a black asset for the CIA went so catastrophically wrong.

Yet far darker forces are hunting him. A growing number of relentless adversaries including Triads baying for his blood, and the mysterious organisation known only as the ‘Syndicate’, determined to keep the truth buried.

With danger closing in, Akulov is alone on a sea of deceit and betrayal, and when Martin Basson, Akulov’s former colleague turned nemesis, enters the fray, Wolf Six is forced to fight his darkest fears, and the trained French assassin hell bent on destroying him.

Kill Code Reviews

3.5
“Ruthless assassins, assassins with a conscience, corrupt sheriffs and CIA operatives….put them all together and you have Kill Code. The second in the series following Wolf Six the assassin everyone has heard of but know one can find. Seeking revenge for a hit gone wrong years ago due to being partnered with an assassin who has no values or more apt kill code. Working a contract, Wolf Six finds it starting to go wrong and then the chaos spirals, from plane crashes to secret operations and “waste disposal” in quiet border towns who can he trust. This book gave you a bigger insight into the thoughts of Wolf Six and the assassins kill code he lives by and the incident he cannot forget. Determined to kill the bang bang man (Don’t you just love the names assassins give each other), Wolf Six must at times bend his own moral compass. This book has everything you expect from a spy/assassin thriller. Violence, murder, unexpected partnerships, twists that you did not see coming (the end!) and the somehow makes you root for an assassin who has killed countless individuals. I bounced back and forth as to whether I trusted the CIA and what their motives were. I am hoping another book will follow which will delve deeper into the operations of The Syndicate, just how much waste disposal does Needham get up-to! Lessons learned do not take the coat off a dead man however freezing you are…… and kill the assassin the first time you get a chance! Fast paced, action packed thriller, captivating story line and a fantastic cast of characters. I hope Alex Shaw continues this series. A 4.5 star read for me!”
“I enjoyed the book but it didn’t wow me it’s part of 2 book series Blurb Taking a life isn't hard, when you've already given your own. “Thanks to @alexshawthrillerwriter @theboldbookclub and @netgalley for the ARC. Well what can I say apart from this was a fabulous 2nd book! It had Espionage, Assassins, the CIA, everything I love, and if it had MI6 then that would've completed it (maybe the next book)! It was a fast-paced action thriller, full of plot twists and it kept me guessing throughout. I did get a bit bored with the whole bit in Black River but it wasn't of any real detriment to the overall book. I definitely can't wait for the 3rd book!”
