Kenny & the Dragon
ByPublisher Description
Now in paperback, the New York Times bestselling tale of chivalry and showmanship from Tony DiTerlizzi.
Kenny is a little rabbit with a very big problem. His two best friends are heading into a battle of legendary proportions—with each other! In one corner there’s Grahame, a well-read and cultured dragon with sophisticated tastes. In the other there’s George, a retired knight and dragon slayer who would be content to spend the rest of his days in his bookshop. Neither really wants to fight, but the village townsfolk are set on removing Grahame from their midst and calling George out of retirement. Can Kenny avert disaster?
Tony DiTerlizzi puts a fun-filled, thoroughly theatrical spin on Kenneth Grahame’s classic tale of subterfuge and showmanship with this lighthearted romp of a retelling.

“The amount of delight I experienced reading this book simply cannot be expressed in words.
I found the UK paperback version of this book (wonder how it made its way here to the States) for exactly one dollar at a secondhand bookshop. The shiny gold font on the red spine is what caught my eye, and it was the art and story premise that made me want to give it a read. I almost considered putting it down, as it is a short story clearly aimed at a younger audience, but I was just so attracted to it that not even "the fear of not appearing adult enough" could stop me from walking up to the cash register with it and its sequel (which, by some incredible luck, I found on clearance in a whole different section of the shop). I am so glad I did not put this book back!
The story is simple but beautifully written, the characters are lovable, and the art is just awesome. This is probably the most fun I've had reading a book in a long time. I could not recommend this book enough to anyone who loves whimsy, bookish things, dragons, anthropomorphic characters, or friendships.
P.S.
I know the Tales of Kenny Rabbit is most likely not Tony DiTerlizzi's most popular series, but I truly hope he continues this series. I would be so excited if he released a third book!!”
