“The duel narratives (one in the Klingon’s ancient past, one in the the normal Star Trek era) deal with matters of faith and fundamentalism in the way you would expect from the humanist Star Trek perspective. It is sympathetic to matters of faith, but places a clear ideological preference for rationally derived principles. Aside from its philosophical implications, it’s a pair of very good adventure stories.”Brian Tanner
