Jersey Rain Reviews

3.5
“favorite poems: ode to meaning, the haunted ruin, a phonebook cover hermes of the nineteen-forties, the cycles, to television, the green piano”
“Beautiful book. Robert Pinsky is the king of language. The last poem in the book, Jersey Rain, says it all. Now near the end of the middle stretch of road What have I learned? Some earthly wiles. An art. That often I cannot tell good fortune from bad, That once had seemed so easy to tell apart.”
