James Joyce's Ulysses - Unabridged

Brilliant. Inscrutable. Hilarious. Obscene. The greatest book ever written. The most challenging book to read in history.  

A lot has been written about James Joyce's masterpiece, "Ulysses." The dense and stream-of-consciousness nature of Joyce's infamous manuscript has elevated this book to the highest pantheon of English literature. It has been dissected, analyzed, studied and pored over for decades (and will be for decades to come). We are proud to present this novel in its original and unabridged format.  

The entire book takes place during a single day: June 16th, 1904 (the date is now known in Ireland as "Blooms Day" due to the immense popularity of this book). "Ulysses" follows the meanderings of three main characters - Leopold Bloom, his wife Molly and Stephen Dedalus (Joyce's alter ego) - as they make their way through Dublin, each character corresponding to a character from Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey."  

Joyce's goal was to capture the thoughts and feelings of his characters as they go about their day and the resulting jumble of thoughts, wishes, hopes and desires has both overjoyed and puzzled literary scholars since it was first published in 1922.
