About Jane Becker
Jane Becker lives on a farm in Kimberley NW Tasmania. She is an archaeologist and teacher with a love of horses and dogs. She shares her life with her daughter and a plethora of animals.
Born in Jersey Channel Islands she came to Australia with her parents in the 60s as “ten pound poms”. She was educated at MLC Kew and is a graduate of Latrobe University in Victoria and The University of New England in NSW. Having worked as a Consultant Archaeologist and in Public Relations, she is currently teaching English and History at St Patrick’s College Launceston.
Jack of Hearts is a work of fiction based on real life characters and events from the past. “I only hope that I do them justice in my storytelling.”
