Infinity Kings

By Adam Silvera
Infinity Kings by Adam Silvera digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

In this epic conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Infinity Cycle, two brothers find themselves in a heartbreaking war against one another. The hardcover edition features a reversible jacket with two stunning covers by Kevin Tong and Meybis Ruiz Cruz!

After the ultimate betrayal, Emil must rise up as a leader to stop his brother before he becomes too powerful. Even if that means pushing away Ness and Wyatt as they compete for his heart so he can focus on the war.

Brighton has a legion of followers at his command, but when he learns about an ancient scythe that can kill the unkillable, that’s all he will need to become unstoppable against Emil and other rising threats.

Meanwhile, Maribelle aligns with her greatest enemy to resurrect her lost love, and Ness infiltrates political circles to stop Iron from ruling the country, but both missions lead to tragedies that will change everyone’s lives forever.

As the Infinity Son and the Infinity Reaper go to war, who will be crowned the Infinity King?

Expressionless Face“Listen, I wanted to love this book. I really did. Adam Silvera’s books usually make me feel things—existential dread, heartbreak, hope, sometimes all at once. But this one? It mostly made me feel… exhausted. First off, Maribelle. I don’t know why she got so much screen time, but at some point, it felt like Infinity Kings should’ve been renamed The Maribelle Chronicles. Every time I flipped a page and saw her name, I sighed like a tired parent who just heard their toddler drop a cup of juice on the floor again. And it wasn’t just that she got chapters—it was that a lot of her story could’ve been handed off to the two actual leads. Like, was she secretly paying rent in this book? Why did she have so much space? Then there’s the ending. If fantasy were a pizza, I like mine with nuance, a little moral complexity, maybe some ethical dilemmas sprinkled on top. This ending? Straight-up cheese pizza with no toppings. Just good vs. evil, white vs. black, no in-between. And the character transformations? Some of them felt like when a Pokémon evolves, except you don’t know why or how—just boom, suddenly they’re different. Now, let’s talk about the first-person perspective. Oh boy. Imagine sitting next to someone on a long flight who just keeps recapping their life story over and over. You think it’s over, but no. They start again. That’s how this book felt. I lost count of how many times characters reminded me of their backstories—like, bro, I was there. I read it. I did not hit my head and forget in the last five pages. And look, I get what Silvera was going for with the telenovela influences. I love drama, I love plot twists, I love when things are so chaotic that my brain short-circuits. But this? It didn’t hit that telenovela magic. It was just… melodrama. Like, yelling-for-the-sake-of-yelling melodrama. And that’s fine! But I need surprises, not just people being angsty for sport. Character growth? Uh. Well. Imagine planting a tree, and then a year later, you check on it, and it looks exactly the same. That’s most of the characters. They went through stuff, sure, but did they grow from it? Ehhh. The exception is Brighton, but even his development felt kind of… meh. Like he got the last-minute character arc clearance sale. I hate writing this review because I know Adam Silvera puts his heart into his books. And there is potential in Infinity Kings. I can see the ambition. I respect the effort. But if I’m being honest? This was hard to get through. I finished it out of pure stubbornness (and because I respect Silvera’s work too much to DNF). But man, it was a battle. Would I recommend this? Only if you’re a die-hard Silvera fan or just really, really need to know how it all ends. Otherwise? Maybe sit this one out.”
Surprised Face with Open Mouth“well ouch. I went through it with this one, beautiful written, such a great story but ouch.”
