“Talisa and Jericho story is wonderful.
You know since I have obtained a Kindle, my whole reading world has been incredibly expanded. New genres have been introduced to me, book clubs, book chats and everything book related. My Kindle is full of great books and I am incredibly happy. Butttttt....There is something about always coming back to your true love of sweet romance and for me nothing beats that. I had no idea I was missing it until I read the book "In The Light of Love".
Talisa works at Wesslyn College in the Christian department, she is going on her first missions trips and is leading a team of 8 college students into Africa. Talisa is a hard worker, well liked, always willing to lend a helping hand and a good daughter. Jericho is a surgeon like his dad whom he is in private practice with. He is an only child, well loved by his parents, great friend and well liked both personally and professionally. Talisa first meets Jericho as a patient who has to have emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix which he is her surgeon. As Talisa was being pulled under by the anesthesia she says to Jericho "You have the most beautiful eyes, I think I could love you" and with that she is asleep. As with all things once everything is done, life goes on.
They meet again outside of a surgery room at a male auction ball for charity hosted by Jericho's mother Irene and the hospital to raise money. This chance meeting seemed like fate until an intervention stops them from seeing or being with each other after the event. Jericho secures Talisa's number from his mother and has made several phone calls to her but the message was never relayed and therefore both are left believing neither wants to see the other.
Jericho leaves for Africa to help out his best friend by providing medical and surgical services for the people there, Talisa is on her way with her group to help out as well. Their chance meeting once again proves that they were fated for each other it just had to align up right for them. Now in another country, they can properly get to know one another without the interruption of others and it seems like a great opportunity for them. As they all are working together the Rebels are stirring up trouble and instantly everything that could go wrong, does and now it becomes a desperate fight for survival for these two. What happens in this story will have you on the edge of your seat but harm others try to bring upon you always backfires. What winds up happening is new stories of love, hope and second chances are birthed. New purposes are found and new families are formed.
I can go on and on about this story but then I will wind up telling the whole thing LOL!! I will say this author Deborah Fletcher Mello really did an excellent job in writing Talisa and Jericho's story, it was absolutely perfect. I do wonder if the author is going to write stories for Talisa's friends hoping that they too will find true love like she has.
Well Until My Next Review Ciao Bellas!”
