“I tried so hard to really really like this book. It was slower than molasses. 3/4 of the book was about the week long event. I didn't hate it but I was hoping to love it.”
“I am so bummed, I really wanted to love this! The idea of an alien being stranded on earth and finding love/finding other aliens also hidden in his small friend group was such an interesting story but unfortunately it really didn't pan out. It was so, so slow reading through this. I found myself skimming a lot waiting for something to happen. The villains in this story never really come to fruition or have their ending explained. We don't have happy endings for all our characters, and the friend group we've followed since the first page almost seems like it's disbanding in the final pages. We don't get any real conclusions for any of the problems brought up throughout the book, and it ends very abruptly.”
