“This book took me a while to get through. The writing style was more on the heavy side, so it took a good 100 pages for me to find a rhythm to get through it; I found myself stopping after each chapter. It was a well written story with relatable characters and meaningful lessons learned. Avery and Tess are two sisters who are going through a lot both separately and together, and it’s refreshing that they aren’t trying to be perfect or live up to any ideals. I also enjoyed the fact that there weren’t any side characters clogging up the story; it was about Avery and Tess, and their family, and that’s it. Overall it was a well written, meaningful story and I’d love to read more from SF.”
