“Note: Read the new Nick Bradley translation
A funny and unusual read, a collection of anecdotes about several characters in the Meiji Era Japan from a perspective of a witty and sarcastic cat. The translation was excellent, with most characters having an old-timey British manner of speaking, and the jokes being preserved for an English-speaking audience.”S
