“This is a Coming-of-Age like no other Book I have read before. Don't let the Fur dissuade you! Before Leya there are 2 Paths, get married and become a Mother to cubs, or the lesser sought after path, become a Huntress and forsake everything and everyone she knew before, along with body mutilation and not being allowed to fall in love. Ever since she was a Cub she wanted to become a Huntress, against her mother's wishes in hopes she would instead become a wife and mother. After she succeds in her initiation, she becomes what she always wanted but after realizing the very deathly cons to being a Huntress she no longer feels like she knows what she wants, she fell in love yet she can't be with him, her 2nd Mother died before her eyes, and now she felt she had nothing left to do there. She leaves and learns the ways of medicine and once again meets her former Lover and in the end they finally end up together and she now leads a new kind of people, those who hunt and heal, who not only bring death but life as well. All while being able to have families and not have to forsake anything. This is one of my most favorite Books! Wish it was a series to read more about Leya and Bahati! 🥰🦁”About Renee Carter Hall
