“Normally, I find it hard to put my thoughts into words but I don’t feel that way currently. It took me a lot longer to read this book than it should’ve. I almost DNF less than 100 pages in, but I pushed through it. This was NOT a good book. Not my cup of tea at all. I’ve noticed a few grammatical errors (I’m not an English major by any means). Some of the sentences I felt were oddly worded? I felt no chemistry between Evelyn and Bowen. Their relationship was also weird and rushed in my opinion. The book as a whole felt super rushed as if we couldn’t think of more things to add. I will not continue this series. It had a lot of potential but this was a major disappointment.”

The characters are vivid and compelling, each with their own secrets and motivations that keep the tension high and the pages turning.
What truly sets this book apart is the perfect balance between action, emotion, and mystery. The plot twists are smart and satisfying, and the romance is woven in beautifully without ever overshadowing the adventure. By the end, I felt like I’d been on a journey right alongside the characters—one I didn’t want to end.
