Publisher Description

FBI forensic profiler Agent Alexandra Darling is known for her unsettling affinity for murderers and their victims.

As she joins a task force assigned to capture a notorious duo of killers, her forbidden fascination with the twisted motivations behind their crimes takes a dangerous turn.

Delving deep into the darkness, she finds herself entangled in a dangerous game that blurs the lines between hunter and hunted, love and obsession. One that would forever redefine her understanding of desire, and the depths of her own soul.

She quickly learns nothing is what it seems. Alexandra's journey will test the limits of her sanity at the same time as it challenges her perceptions of justice.

Will she be just another victim? Or do they have something different in mind for their little Darling?

Maree's Note: Warning, this book is a whychoose MFM dark contemporary romance. It contains very explicit 18+ dark, sexual content, and straight-up smut. The male leads are not prince charming, they are villains with psycho tendencies and therefore there is stalking, obsessive and possessive behavior, unaliving people, and lots of dark and twisted content. There is a warning list at the front of the book but please feel free to reach out to me on social media prior to purchasing. Proceed at your own risk, if you dare. All the characters are 18+

hunt me darling: A Dark MFM Stalker Romance Reviews

3.5
“I feel the first chapter started off with an interesting premise, but the execution really fell flat for me. My biggest issue is the dialogue. It feels extremely stiff and unnatural—almost robotic. Conversations don’t flow like real people talking, which makes it hard to stay immersed. Instead of tension or chemistry, it just feels awkward and emotionally flat. Lines like repetitive name-calling and overly formal exchanges (“Thanks for your concern, Derek.” “Alright, Alex.” “Thank you, Derek.”) make everything feel disconnected rather than intense. The stalker/murderer concept—Truth and Dare—feels like it could be really intriguing, but the writing style doesn’t build the suspense or menace needed to make it impactful. It ends up feeling more unintentionally cheesy than dark or thrilling. Was it spicy? Yes, but because of the robotic dialogue (that I’m not fully convinced isn’t ai of some sort) it just didn’t do it for me.”
Rolling on the Floor Laughing Face“Did I read the same book as everyone else? Where are these 4 and 5 stars coming from? I don't know why I didn't DNF. The writing was terrible. My goodness. You can't convince me this isn't AI? No one talks like that? The dialogue made no sense. Honestly none of this was realistic. How is she an FBI agent? She was so stupid. Also if I have to hear "embrace your inner darkness" or "little darling" one more time I'm gonna shoot someone. The story was there but her execution was not. FBI x serial killers, who are stalking her? It sounds perfect. The writing and plot (if you can even call it that -all she does is, go to work, shower and have sex with masked men) were lacking. It was SO OBVIOUS who Truth and Dare were. Like be fr? Also she tries to throw you off with the agents who have similar sounding names, like seriously. This should be 0 stars but I'll give it 1 star for the smut which was entertaining. Honestly there is so much more I could complain about but I don't wanna spend any more time on this book. Don't even get me started on the pregnancy.”
“Almost DNFed this book because of the writing. It was like the author has a few phrases or buzzwords and kept using them over and over. The dialogue between characters also felt extremely stiff and stilted. The idea of what the book could have been was the only reason it got 1.5 stars.”
