“Book: How the Wallflower Wins a Duke Author: Lucy Morris Length: 277 pages Publisher: Harlequin Overall Rating: 5/5 Stars Blog Rating: 5/5 Saltire Flags London, 1816 Marina Fletcher's life centers on a life in a musical career. She gave herself a few rules of never finding a husband! This is different because most women in the nineteenth century are only focused on capturing a wealthy husband, running a household, doing embroidery and having children. However Marina has promised herself she will only marry for love like her parents or become a spinster for life and just concentrate on her music . Sadly the one man she is attracted to is Brook, but he is the Duke of Framingham whom has no interest in love. She tries to avoid spending time with this man who makes her heart race! This very handsome Duke is is very interested in a very fake engagement. This will get get his mother off his back plus people like the awful Moorcrofts pushing their very marriageable daughters in his face. For Marina it will get her family off her back in the finding husband quest and she will be able to practice her music in peace. However will it work? Of course can this beautiful female musical genius and very swoon worthy man open their closed hearts and really fall in love? Will it be forever or just another heartbreaking story? This is a riveting, fast paced, romantic adventure centered around a woman ahead of her time. Can Brook open and capture Marina’s heart promising to love her forever? Read and discover their fate! This is my first regency historical romance that I have ever read by Lucy Morris. I always read her spectacular Viking books. She is a talented UK author that I always enjoy as her novels can be witty, passionate and heartbreaking! However they are always fun reads that always captures my heart. Disclaimer: I received an advance readers copy from Harlequin publishers. I voluntarily agreed to do a fair review and blog through netgalley. All thoughts, ideas and words are my own.”
