How My Neighbor Stole Christmas

By Meghan Quinn
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

A new winter holiday, enemies-to-lovers romance, from the undeniably funny and always spicy, USA Today bestselling author, Meghan Quinn.Every Kringle in Kringletown loved Christmas a lot.But Cole Black on Whistler Lane, unfortunately did not. Cole was a recluse during the Kringle Christmas season. No one knew why, no one could quite give a reason. Martha said it was because he was alone and very single.Mae believed it was because he was never named the town Kringle. But to me, the reason is a storyline far too sad.For at the age of eighteen, he lost both mom and dad. Whatever the reason, his parents or being single,He spends Christmas in the dark, hating the cheery people of Kringle.More to come.

Slightly Smiling Face“Just like orzo, I can’t look at pineapple candy canes the same again.”
Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 “How My Neighbor Ruined Christmas” by Meghan Quinn was the perfect holiday rom-com! This book was cute, laugh-out-loud funny, and oh-so-spicy—everything I could want in a festive romance. Meghan Quinn has such a gift for mixing heartfelt moments with hilarity, and this story was no exception. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts, with plenty of playful banter and swoon-worthy moments. And can we talk about the narrator? Absolutely hilarious! They brought the characters to life with impeccable timing and so much personality—it felt like watching a holiday rom-com come to life in my head. If you’re looking for a fun, steamy, and uplifting holiday read, this is it. Meghan Quinn has delivered another winner that’ll leave you smiling long after you’ve turned the last page! Highly recommend!”
Expressionless Face“Man, I really wanted to like this, but I had some pretty major issues with it. I’ve read a couple MQ books before, and had some similar issues, so I was hoping this one would be different. I guess I’m just not a big fan of her writing. This book felt like she just wrote the whole book from start to finish and never went back to edit. There were a lot of run-ons and grammatical errors (I’m looking at you than/then) that just took me out of the story, but I also felt like the story itself could’ve used some more editing. The beginning was really slow and I almost DNFd, but the latter half was better. The constant changing POVs really got on my nerves in places. Like most third act breakups, I felt like this one could’ve been avoided, but at least it was resolved quickly. I don’t think Storee’s sister did enough groveling to make up for what she did. Also, not Aunt Cindy faking that she’s near death to get her grand-nieces to mend their relationship 🙃 Don’t even get me started on the cringe. The poems were cute/funny in some places, but most of them were cringey. I liked most of the sex scenes, but the sexting was bad. Also I’m sorry, but the names in this book 🙄 I don’t mean to harp so much, because there were parts I did like. Although I didn’t like the FMC at first, she grew on me. The relationship between her and the MMC was a slow burn that was at times infuriating, but it felt healthy. Many of their spicy scenes were 🔥 (which I think is clearly MQ’s strength). I also really liked the MMC, and watching him grow throughout the story was probably one of the best parts. His found family/best friend Max was another highlight. The competition and the town of Kringle were really cute and well-executed. I just wish we’d have gotten a big finale scene of the competition results, but Cole and Storee’s epilogue was cute 🥰 Overall, I can’t say I’d 100% recommend this book, but there were some parts that I enjoyed. It did put me in the Christmas mood 🎄🎅🏽”
