House of Leaves

By Mark Z. Danielewski
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

A young family moves into a small home on Ash Tree Lane where they discover something is terribly wrong: their house is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.

Of course, neither Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Will Navidson nor his companion Karen Green was prepared to face the consequences of that impossibility, until the day their two little children wandered off and their voices eerily began to return another story—of creature darkness, of an ever-growing abyss behind a closet door, and of that unholy growl which soon enough would tear through their walls and consume all their dreams.

House of Leaves Reviews

“A book has not messed me up this bad in so long. This actively made me feel like I was going crazy. I loved it.”
Anxious Face with sweat“i was gripped by the story, and it has unexpectedly (or, i should have expected it- should i have heeded the advice at the start of the book) seeped into my dreams. i found myself thinking about the story and i physically couldn't put the book down in some instances. finished this book at 3:30 am. I loved the use of typography- i found myself disoriented, just as Navidson was. especially exploration #5, it was beautifully crafted. Themes of grief, addiction, love and trust. faith in each other. The villain - the "unknown", changing, looming. very bone chilling and scary. found myself jump scared. beautiful. can't wait to discuss more!!!”
