“Charming novella. A quick Christmas read with just the perfect dose of humor and suspense. Would have loved to hear more of Trudy and Nolan’s antics.”
“Look, I was desperate for Jennifer Crusie kind of books. You know the easy, quirky, funny kind of book. And when I saw I didn’t read one of her book while searching for her new books, I found this. I found it and started reading it and OH MY GOD. I shouldn’t have read it. It was damn, such a tiny book but managed to put shit load of bullshit characters. I didn’t like the leading female and her “craziness”. I usually love Ms. Crusie’s woman. But man, this female is unbearable and her sister is worse than her. Who calls 1000 fucking times when you are shopping and tell them you have company? And she talks about all their fucking issues in front of strangers. This book is a disgrace to her. I wish I find some more writers like her, I miss her books. For definitely not this kind.”
“I hesitate to even call this a romance, because the relationship is so very half-baked and the romantic interest doesn't really get a chance to show the reader (or our girl Trudie) who he really is through the course of this screwball Christmas tale. It's a pretty slight story that requires a lot of suspension of disbelief, but the stuff about Trudie, her sister, and her nephew gave me some warm, fuzzy feelings despite the ridiculousness of the rest.”

About Jennifer Crusie

Jennifer Crusie was researching her dissertation on the differences in the way men and women tell stories when she got sidetracked into writing romance novels.

Her first book was published in 1993 (which pretty much finished off any hope of her getting that PhD) and her twenty-second book, Maybe This Time, came out in August of 2010, all of which she considers a minor miracle, especially since she is also a New York Times, USA Today and Publishers Weekly bestselling author and a two-time Rita award winner
