Give me an unhinged, morally gray man and honey, I’m SET! 😝
I’ve always been afraid to dip my toe into the dark romance waters…but OMG, my mind is blown! There’s just something about a powerful, capable man with magnetic energy. I was stuttering right along with Wendy. 😅
I loved the dual POVs, and I think the emotional growth between the characters felt so real. I especially loved that Wendy had her own trauma, just like James. Their relationship wasn’t only about physical attraction—I actually felt them getting to know each other and changing because of it.
The confidence. The conversations. The tension. UGHHH. It had me reeling.
I did unfortunately guess some of the plot twists, but nonetheless, I was on the edge of my freaking seat! I flew through this book in a couple of hours.
And when James turned on Wendy?! THE TEMPERATURE WAS RISING. 🔥
The threats. The danger. The possessiveness.
I was squealing inside. 😝
Apparently I’ve learned some things about myself with this book. 🤭
