“I started this series in 2023 after finding the first book in a worn down, wall-to-wall packed book store ran by an older gentleman… and I finally finished the fourth and last installment of Big Stone Gap in 2026. I really enjoyed all of these stories. They gave me a window into someone’s life who has always felt so real and complex. I love Ave’s character because she is so incredibly multi-layered. AT does a fantastic job of writing stories that include happiness, jealously, grief, surprise, and sadness. All of the characters have their own personalities and they’re all so different. They all do things that make your blood boil at some point and this series is the only series that has truly felt like I was reading about real people and the setting of the little town of Big Stone Gap in the Blue Ridge Mountains was always the cherry on top for me. I loved all the books and AT did a great job at making this book truly feel like the final closing. I feel totally inspired to travel and love those around me and that’s the purpose of reading.”

Adriana Trigiani is an award-winning playwright, television writer, and documentary filmmaker. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the Big Stone Gap trilogy; Lucia, Lucia; The Queen of the Big Time; and Rococo, and co-author of the cookbook Cooking with My Sisters. Trigiani has written the screenplay for the movie Big Stone Gap, which she will also direct. She lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
