His Pretend Amish Bride
ByPublisher Description
In a small Amish town like picturesque Lancaster, Pennsylvania, one solution to an indiscretion is to make a good marriage. Or perhaps, fake a respectable engagement . . .
Priscilla Ebersol has a fulfilling life teaching special needs children—until her boyfriend’s humiliating betrayal ruins her reputation and threatens her job. Ostracized for something she didn’t do, Priscilla throws herself into a project on the benefits of camel’s milk for autism. Her research leads her to a fledgling local camel farm, where she discovers far more than she bargained for . . .
When a pushy Englisch company shows interest in shy, handsome Gabriel Kauffman’s camel farm, he struggles to get out of a sticky negotiation. Lovely, well-spoken Priscilla appears at the perfect moment, and defends Gabe’s business so well that she is mistaken for his wife. It’s a ruse the two quietly continue, all the while secretly wishing it could be true. But though their bond deepens, Priscilla’s heart is still wounded, and Gabe battles with a troubling secret. And when a misunderstanding comes between them, it will take faith, honesty, and trust in the future to overcome the past—and allow their partnership to blossom into something more . . .

“Researching how to help autistic children hardly fits the Amish lifestyle, yet Priscilla Ebersol finds herself dedicated to the task. Working with special needs children is indeed her gift, however, scandal nearly proves to be her undoing. Priscilla is finding that camel's milk has benefits that woulld aid these children, and that means working alongside Gabriel Kauffman.
Gabriel is working hard with his camel farm, but the attention of an Englisch company is not the distraction that he needs. In fact, when Priscilla happens to be in his shop at a cvertain time, she finds herself playing a very specific role. There are concerns about the camel's milk and Gabriel's shop, and Priscilla's intuitive nature proves to be of value to him.
Although quite drawn to one another, the two have baggage that just might get in the way of a happy future together. Will working together, bonding in their faith and building a strong friendship be enough to bring these gentle souls together?
I love this Amish story! I have reaad more than a few, including the first book in this series, including
His Unexpected Amish Twins,
and I know going in that I will be drawn to a very good story, especially when it involves a deeper subject, like autism in this case of this book. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Many thanks to Zebra and to NetGalley for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.”
