Very quick and nostalgic read for all fans of Pullman's original series, His Dark Materials, accompanied by delightful lino-print style illustrations on every page by Tom Duxbury. His Dark Materials was a series that meant so much to me as a child and I have many fond memories of my Dad reading Northern Lights to me as a bedtime story night after night.
