Slightly Smiling Face“A gorgeous little look back into Lyra and Pantalaimon's world(s). Very quick and nostalgic read for all fans of Pullman's original series, His Dark Materials, accompanied by delightful lino-print style illustrations on every page by Tom Duxbury. His Dark Materials was a series that meant so much to me as a child and I have many fond memories of my Dad reading Northern Lights to me as a bedtime story night after night. I am so excited to get back into this series as an adult and to delve into The Book of Dust trilogy.”
Thumbs Up“Did I know this existed? Nope. I read His Dark Materials in middle school and high school. This was a nice novella to read to get ready for The Book of Dust. (Which I also just recently learned about 😱) The illustrations were lovely. They remind me of wood carving prints.”
