Q: Do I have to buy the ebook to participate in a book club?

No, you don’t have to buy the ebook to participate, but we do recommend it to get the most out of your club. There are several premium social reading features that are only available when you buy the ebook, like annotations, reactions, comment threads, resources, discussion prompts, and more, all embedded right in the text. It’s a unique and immersive way to read.

Q: Why can’t I buy the ebook on the app?

It’s annoying, we know. App store rules prevent us from selling directly in the app, so for now you can only purchase ebooks on our website. Don’t worry: when you purchase an ebook on the web, it’s automatically added to your bookshelf in the app.

Q: How is Fable’s reader different from Kindle?

Kindle is a straightforward e-reader; Fable is an interactive e-reader that includes social features inside the ebooks. When you read an ebook on Fable, you can see and react to the text with others in real time. Start a discussion, share highlights and quotes, add emoji reactions—all of it lives right inside the book. It’s hard to explain and easy to see, so we recommend reading the free sample in one of our most active clubs to get a feel for it.

Most of our clubs are completely free to join. The only exceptions are clubs marked as “Premium” or “Career Development,” which do require a fee. You can find out more on each club’s detail page.

Q: How do I start a book club with this book on Fable?

“This was such a heartwarming romance! Fisk is dedicated to rebuilding his business and making up for his past mistakes. He's burdened with guilt over the loss of his ex-girlfriend and their baby. Balancing his remorse, staying sober, and keeping his business afloat is no easy feat. When Lauren, his neighbor's granddaughter, needs a job, he hires her as his assistant. But Lauren carries her own secrets, guilt, and fears. Working together is tough for both of them—not because they don't get along, but because they do, and neither is ready to admit it. Can they overcome their fears, let God help them heal from their pasts, and move forward together? This is such a touching story that will pull at your heartstrings. “Review on “His Christmas Salvation” by @leetobinmcclainauthor I signed up for free books from Harlequin Love Inspired books a while back and kept receiving 6 books at a time and I came across this one in my sets after already getting to know Lee Tobin McClain the author of HCS - this was 24 of 30 books in the k-9 companion series and I am glad I read this. It was heartwarming and sweet and inspiring. The MMC Fisk had a past that stopped him from moving forward in his future. He kept holding back due to the losses and mistakes in his past. Then enters Lauren and his sweet babygirl on a snowy road heading to her family’s home. These two didn’t realize just how much they would need each other through the storms they’d weather. The one major theme I loved most about this book was the forgiveness of The Lord. When we know we are forgiven the ONE who matters we can forgive ourselves for our mistakes and sins. We have that grace and forgiveness to be at peace with ourselves. I thoroughly enjoyed this short book in the LIS book. Blurb: On the road to recovery… Can love lead the way?
