Herc
ByPublisher Description
A queer revisionist retelling of the story of Hercules, for fans of The Song of Achilles, A Thousand Ships and Ariadne.
This should be the story of Hercules: his twelve labours, his endless adventures… everyone’s favorite hero, right?
Well, it’s not.
This is the story of everyone else:
It’s time to hear their stories.
Told with humour and heart, Herc gives voice to the silenced characters, in this feminist, queer (and sometimes shocking) retelling of classic Hercules myth.

“This was by far one of the most interesting retelling I have ever read! Hercules was always an interesting demigod and I really enjoyed how the author took liberty on his story. I had done the audiobook and I loved how they had multiple people read the story for us. I think what I liked the most about this retelling was the fact that it wasn’t Hercules telling his story but those who were affected by him. We got to see how knowing and loving Hercules changed things for them. Most of the time, we only get the story from the main person and thus really showed how one person can affect so many people’s lives.”
“this was messy in the best way (which is why I love the Greeks sm)”
