“First of all, let me start off by saying I was torn about how many stars to give this book. 3 stars felt too low but 4 felt like too much. So let's go ahead and say it was 3.5 stars. While it was overall an enjoyable book, it wasn't one that I felt so drawn to that I completely devoured it. I liked it, but I didn't love it.
The author does a great job of building tension between Krista and her troll of an ex-boyfriend as well as between Krista and Alyssa. I felt myself internally yelling at people to give her a break and to let her prove herself. Unfortunately, I didn't feel much chemistry between Krista and Will. They spent so much time insisting that they were so different and wanted such different things that I came to believe them. They seemed to have fun and enjoy each other's company so I could totally believe them as friends, but not so much as a couple. However, like any book review, these are purely my opinions. What didn't resonate with me might resonate with someone else.
