“I loved this story. I had never read any stories by Patricia, but this one was so wonderfully written that this won't be my last!
Delia and Elias were friends as kids, but then he married, moved away, and started his life elsewhere, and she married and created her home here. But now he's back temporarily to help family, and they both are widowed. Delia lost her husband, and her 4 sons are overdoing it, scaring off future any possible husbands and trying to take the place as the man of the house. Elias has lost his wife, and his daughter is grieving so much, so she is considering leaving the Amish faith, not believing there is anything keeping her there. Delia and Elias come together to fake "court" so he can mentor the boys, and she can mentor the girl. They want to bring hope of a future, after loss, back to their kids. But what they didn't consider is that it would have them hoping for a future with each other. But it's all only fake, right? And what happens when the kids find out their plan? Could a fake relationship lead to something more? What happens when Elias is finished helping family and he needs to return home?
The way Patricia managed to create this friendship between Elias and Delia was perfect. The way you could understand the teenagers' struggles and outlook on things. And you could see how the parents tackled each problem head-on , with love. I loved it! And wow, Ezekial in the story is such a wonderful boy!
Patricia gives us a couple that have both been hit with loss, struggling as parents and coming to grips with aging... and she brings so much beauty from it all.
I read this as I was coming up on a milestone birthday. The way aging is so respected and even viewed as adding beauty and wisdom to a person, it was lovely and much needed. So thank you, Patricia!”

“This is book number five in the Amish Country Matches series but can be read as a stand alone book.
This is the story of Delia Swarey and Elias Lehman.
Delia is a widow who has four boys ranging in the age of seventeen to eleven and they run a flower farm. Elias’ parents live next door to Delia and he is a widower with a teenage daughter who comes to help his parents to move. Elias’ daughter Violet comes to work on the flower farm while she is in the area. Elias and Delia had been schoolmates so they come up with an idea to fake a courtship to show all their children that’s it’s okay to have another relationship when a spouse passes on, so they have someone to share their life with after all the children leave home.
Over the weeks they start falling in love with each other and all their children have opened their hearts up to having a step parent.
Grab a copy of this book, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Keep up the great work Patricia.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. The review expressed here is my honest opinion.”
