“Michelle arrived in Charming to win back her ex boyfriend. That didn't happen but she ended up staying anyway and getting a job at a law firm. Unfortunately her boss is very old fashioned and in order for Michelle to be promoted she needs to have a boyfriend. So she makes one up, when her boss starts to question it, Michelle jumps on the first guy she sees Finn and begs him to pretend to be her partner. I do enjoy a fake dating trope, watching our hero and heroine fall for each other is fun.
Finn is a former professional athlete and recently out of a bad divorce. he is down for a bit of fun but not wanting anything heavy. Michelle doesn't either she wants to concentrate on her career.
Heatherly Bell writes a heartwarming romance, I wish I could go to Charming. The more these two spend time together to perpetuate the lie, feelings start to become real. Another 5 star read.
Recommended for fans of contemporary romance.

Heatherly Bell was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama but lost her accent by the time she was two. Her grandmother, Mima, kept the both the accent and spirit of the southern woman alive for decades. After leaving Alabama, Heatherly lived with her family in both Puerto Rico and Maryland before being transplanted kicking and screaming to the California Bay Area. She now loves it here, she swears. Except the traffic.
