Hemlock & Silver

By T. Kingfisher
Hemlock & Silver by T. Kingfisher digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

From New York Times bestselling and Hugo Award-winning author T. Kingfisher comes Hemlock & Silver, a dark reimagining of “Snow White” steeped in poison, intrigue, and treason of the most magical kind

Healer Anja regularly drinks poison.

Not to die, but to save— seeking cures for those everyone else has given up on.

But a summons from the King interrupts her quiet, herb-obsessed life. His daughter, Snow, is dying, and he hopes Anja’s unorthodox methods can save her.

Aided by a taciturn guard, a narcissistic cat, and a passion for the scientific method, Anja rushes to treat Snow, but nothing seems to work. That is, until she finds a secret world, hidden inside a magic mirror. This dark realm may hold the key to what is making Snow sick.

Or it might be the thing that kills them all.

At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

Hemlock & Silver Reviews

4.0
“Overall it was fine. I don’t think I was in the correct mindset when reading however it was still enjoyable. I think I read it too close together to Paladin’s strength for the romance to really hold any appeal (though it was only a small part of this story). I did find the mechanics of the mirror realm a little confusing and didn’t follow the ending all that well. But I did like Anja’s morals and character which made it easy to read. I also relate to being overly enthusiastic about scientific discoveries.”
“This might be my new favorite T. Kingfisher novel. Similar vibes to Nettle & Bone (my other favorite): eerie, spooky, with a sweet romance that doesn't dominate the story, felt natural and not forced. Loveable minor characters, the most cat to ever cat, and a villain that makes your skin crawl. All while managing to make a spooky story almost cozy. No idea how she does it 👏🏻👏🏻”
