“Sadie is growing up and ready to leave the home and get a little independence. It's not typically permitted, but the elders allow her to move out of her home and become a nanny for a family in their community. This particular family has went through their share of Nannies in record time, but Sadie still wants to give it a try. But once she meets Vernon, the grumpy, widowed, recluse of a father and the children that are testing her patience... she has her hands full. Add in Vernon's sister who is adamant she doesn't want or need Sadie there - very awkward considering they share a home. When Sadies family realizes how different her life is as the nanny and how out of control the children are, they give Sadie an ultimatum...
She has one month to "help" this family make some changes OR she will have to go back home!
But with time... Sadie is seeing that she and Vernon have many things in common. And Vernon finally feels he l can tell Sadie the truth about what happened to his wife and why none of them have been able to move on. But is the truth too much? Would it scare Sadie off? Can Sadie make enough of a difference in their lives to stay? Can she breathe life back into a family that has been grieving for far too long?
