“This was an incredibly difficult, but familiar pill to swallow. I found myself shedding tears & wanting to protect the FMC. This story made my heart ache. So many adults had the opportunity to stop it & allowed the abuse to continue. It was devastating to watch a woman be an accomplice in the level of abuse, despite her being a victim herself. Unfortunately, it was very realistic. I found myself approaching visceral anger as the story came closer to the end, afraid that Enchanted wouldn't be able to grab hold of a single piece of justice. I even caught myself thinking Gabriella Garcia was a figment of her imagination, which added to the heaviness I felt for Enchanted. The ending was very satisfying. Whether she had killed Korey or not, he got the slow, painful death he deserved. Despite the heaviness of the content, this was wonderfully written. I enjoy Tiffany D. Jackson's writing style very much, especially knowing she's well-researched and each book is typically based on a real case. I look forward to my next TDJ read.”
“4.5⭐️ This is my first Tiffany Jackson book and wow she packs a PUNCH. The story was impactful and entertaining. Important conversations happen in this book & they portray an even more important message. Believe black women. Period.”
