Grim Tidings by B.K. Borison digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

From #1 New York Times bestselling author B.K. Borison comes a new whimsical, haunting romance. When a runaway grim reaper tries to save a life, she clashes with a skeptical Guardian, forcing them to form an unlikely partnership beyond the grave.

Darcy Moore is tired of death. Which would be fine and good ... if she wasn’t a Grim Reaper. Determined to outrun her designation as the villain, Darcy decides she won’t be dragging her next assignment to the underworld. She’ll be saving him instead.

Unfortunately for Darcy, there’s a complication in her plan. Guardian Angel Gabriel Aetos doesn’t tolerate threats to his little corner of the world, and a Grim Reaper showing up at his bar is as deadly as it gets. But when he realizes Darcy is not as she seems, Gabriel must decide if he can trust his growing feelings or hold on to his long-standing grudge.

But magic doesn’t come without consequences. And the Department of Hauntings & Spirits will eventually come calling for their missing Reaper.

A spooky yet simmering enemies-to-lovers tale to keep you warm this fall.

Grim Tidings Reviews

4.5
“Oh this was so good. I absolutely loved Darcy and her journey. Tater Tot is perfect. Frank's story stole the show for me honestly. I didn't expect this story to have such a deep ending regarding the process of death. I am so thankful I was able to receive an ARC of Grim Tidings.”
“Thank you NetGalley for providing this arc. This book was one of my most anticipated releases of the year and miss BK Borison DELIVERED. I’ve read every book she ever wrote (even multiple times for some of them) and I loved them all ! I was especially excited for this one because Good Spirits is one of my favorite books to ever exist. I am not disappointed. Both main characters were so well crafted (even though my darling Gabriel was kind of a dickhead at first) and I couldn’t stopped myself from being so invested from the first pages. Darcy felt so human and I was ready to protect her with my life from the beginning. Even the secondary characters felt so real and added so much to the book. I don’t know what to say about this book because I don’t want to spoil anything about it but please read it when it’s out. I’ve cried so much, from the first chapter to the last. My eyes are literally swollen right now. Thank you for existing BK Borison.”
“Arc Review Good spirits was a lovely heartwarming book, Grim Tidings tore my heart out in the best possible way. What starts as a rom com twists into a heart wrenching romance that deals with the subject of death and the afterlife beautifully Ive just sobbed my heart out for the last 20% Absolutely stunning!”
“A Reaper and a Guardian Angel walk into a bar.....and the rest is absolutely GLORIOUS. I have been very excited about this book since we got the title and blurb, I loved Good Spirits so much last year and then B. K. Borison told us we were getting a Grim Reaper sequel and I went feral. Darcy is really struggling with her role as a Reaper, she never chose this path and she doesn't want to be the last person someone sees before she whisks them off into the afterlife, so she has decided her next assignment , she is going to save their soul, not condemn it. This assignment of hers just happens to be in the same town as Harriet's Antique Shop, more specifically in a bar where Gabriel, our Guadian Angel is working and he wants her no where near it. His distrust of Grim's runs deep, so when he realises what she is, he is instantly on guard. Their dynamic in this book is so well written. They so desperately want to dislike eachother but they feel themselves drawn to one another constantly and I love that they strike a deal which forces all the best close proximity moments. I knew I would devour this book once I picked it up, both Darcy and Gabriel were dealing with alot of self doubt and feeling like they weren't getting the afterlife quite right, so to watch them grow while working together was beautiful. We meet some really lovely new characters in this and a couple of previous ones but my absolute favourite had to be Tater Tot ❤️. Thank you Harper for sending me this proof, I am so glad I got to opportunity to read it early.”
