Incendia CEO Helena Haddon needs the charity to survive its upcoming financial review, following the theft by its previous director. She needs money to cover the stolen amount, and she has her father’s inheritance to do it. The catch? Her inheritance has a stipulation to access to it: she has to be 28 years old or get married, whatever happens first. Helena couldn’t wait two more years to get said inheritance so she plans to marry her friend Leander Liassidis. A marriage of convenience, of course. But in the last moment Leander realizes he couldn’t do it and dissapears. Yet he doesn’t leave Helena at the altar; Leander sends Leonidas “Leo” Liassidis, his estranged twin, to cover him! Now that Helena and Leo have to be alone in a private island to spend their “honeymoon” to keep the charade, what will happen when their attraction explodes?
This book has both successes and failures. The way Ms. Roscoe developed the twins’ relationship through Leo’s perspective is magnificent and fills the blanks Leander’s story left. Another thing that I need to say is, was it really necessary the gallery scene? It gives me enough cringe for life. That scene is the beginning of that switch in the plot I mentioned before, going from being romance-oriented to being sexually oriented. Anyway, I can live without that gallery scene, thank you very much.
As for Helena and Leo's romance? At some point in the plot, I felt that the romance takes a backseat, with the sexual aspects of the couple being the axis of the relationship, instead of Helena and Leo’s love. And then you try to convince me that they star the biggest love story in romance books ever as we go towards the end? I don’t know, Rick…
This author is a magnificent writer, but this isn’t one of her best books. That said, I liked Helena and Leo’s story. Overall, the book is easy to read, compliments the first book of the duet and has a nice storytelling. It’s well written, with perfect transitions between scenes. It isn’t a perfect book but has a convincing storyline without loose ends, responding questions from both books in the duet.

About Pippa Roscoe
Pippa Roscoe lives in Norfolk near her family and makes daily promises that this is the day she will leave the computer and take a long walk in the countryside. She can't remember a time when she wasn't dreaming of gorgeous alpha males and misunderstood heroines. Totally her mother's fault of course - she gave Pippa her first romance at the age of seven! She is inconceivably happy that she gets to share those day dreams with you! @PippaRoscoe www.pipparoscoe.com
