Great Jokes for Nihilistic Kids (by Billy)
ByPublisher Description
This is Billy. He is ten years old. He is in the principal's office a lot of his day. He is not bad. He is just nihilistic. He doesn't see any reason for existence. That is not what his teachers want to hear. They want to know why he didn't do the work. He tells them that all work is fruitless because all life is a worthless slog. That's when they send him to the principal's office.
There is something you should know about Billy. He is a jokester. He likes to tell jokes. But his jokes are his own. He thinks most of the jokes told in school are lame. They don't really tell it as it is. That's why Billy has compiled this collection of great jokes. Billy thinks that there are no good joke books for kids who see the world as a tinder box ready to ignite. See. That's a joke. Or at least, that is the kind of thing Billy thinks is hysterical.
It is not the set up to the joke Billy doesn't like. Set ups are fine. He kept them the way he found them., It is the punchlines that are the problem. They needed more honest answers and that is where Billy changed them. You might say that he changed them for the better, but is there such a thing as being better?
If you find the idea of the world as kindling ready to burn everything down as funny, then this is the book for you. Billy doesn't care if you like this book or not. That's Billy all over.
