“I may be biased because I haven’t met an Emily Henry novel that I didn’t love, or it could be that I’m getting soft at the ripe old age of 28, but my god, was this everything I wanted it to be and more.
It’s as if the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (arguably one of the best books of our generation, and one of my favourites) met with Book Lovers and out popped this incredibly moving masterpiece. For those that think it’s just a romance novel, you’re wrong.”

“Haven’t been a big Emily Henry fan in the past but this has got to be her best book! Does it remind me of Seven Lives of Evelyn Hugo? 100%! But I totally enjoy the message. Every part of life is important!”

“Emily Henry’s writing always feels so tangible and this one is no different. I feel like I was on that island with all the characters, and I was in the interviews. I adore Emily Henry’s writing style, and I was shocked, but impressed with how she pivoted from the romance genre to general fiction with romance and family drama subplots. I got all the Emily Henry funny banter and romantic energy from this book, but I also got a TJR style plot line that I was eating up. I was obsessed with the interview sections!! I don’t think this will be everyone’s favorite EmHen book due to romance being the sub plot, but I really enjoyed it (not as much as happy place though, she still holds the crown) !!”
