Good Girls Lie by J.T. Ellison digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

J.T. Ellison’s pulse-pounding new psychological thriller examines the tenuous bonds of friendship, the power of lies and the desperate lengths people will go to in order to protect their secrets.

Goode girls don’t lie…

Perched atop a hill in the tiny town of Marchburg, Virginia, The Goode School is a prestigious prep school known as a Silent Ivy. The boarding school of choice for daughters of the rich and influential, it accepts only the best and the brightest. Its elite status, long-held traditions and honor code are ideal for preparing exceptional young women for brilliant futures at Ivy League universities and beyond.

But a stranger has come to Goode, and this ivy has turned poisonous.

In a world where appearances are everything, as long as students pretend to follow the rules, no one questions the cruelties of the secret societies or the dubious behavior of the privileged young women who expect to get away with murder.

When a popular student is found dead, the truth cannot be ignored. Rumors suggest she was struggling with a secret that drove her to suicide.

But look closely…because there are truths and there are lies, and then there is everything that really happened.

Don’t miss It's One of Us, the next page-turning thriller from New York Times bestselling author J.T. Ellison!

Good Girls Lie Reviews

3.5
“This one took a while to get into but once I got into it, I was hooked. My biggest struggle was the teenage narrative. Not that it wasn’t done well. I think that’s kind of the thing, it was done so well that my 44 year old ass was losing patience with it. I am glad I stuck with it because the twists and turns this took led to such a satisfying ending.”
“This book had such a strong start. I loved the boarding school setting. The opening scene immediately pulled me in, and the epilogue was a great way to wrap things up. That said, some parts in the middle dragged on and felt a bit slow. While the story was entertaining, I found myself predicting many of the twists before they happened, which took away some of the suspense. Overall, it’s an engaging thriller with a compelling setting and solid payoff, even if it didn’t fully surprise me. A good read for fans of dark academic mysteries and psychological suspense.”
“This was so crazy????? Like genuinely doing the most lol had to stop/start a lot and the narration was super confusing bc everyone had a British accent even if that specific character wasn’t British so it was kind of hard to follow. Lots of dark academia - boarding school, secret societies, secret tunnels, etc. kind of all over the place but had a mostly good time with this and ending had me shook tbh”
