Goldfinch (The Plated Prisoner, #6)
ByPublisher Description
The seductive and thrilling dark fantasy series comes to an end in this powerful finale. With sizzling romance, devastations, and triumphs, this is the epic conclusion to the gilded world of Orea that everyone has been waiting for.
If there is ever a choice between her or the world, it's going to be her.
One king caged my body.
Another has caged my mind.
War has broken out, though that's not the only battle being waged.
There's a fight inside me, and it's one I'm determined to win, no matter how hard they try to erase me.
Because they've forgotten one thing. The ancient magic of the pair bond.
Slade and I are connected by more than just fated magic, and we will always find each other.
In any life.
The Stone King is trying to destroy me, but what he hasn't realized is this: Gold bends, but stone breaks.
And a Goldfinch does not fall.
It flies.

“The pacing of this final book was great! The series needed an action packed final book after a few slower ones. Loved how it ended, these characters are beautiful and finally at peace in Annwyn ❤️”
“4.5 ⭐️ for the series as a whole.
This last book was my favorite. 5⭐️
Now, I do feel the whole series could have been shorter/edited down to have consistent progress. This is how I felt the entire series. I think sometimes the spice was misplaced which made it feel like filler instead of meaningful (example: Melina & Assasin in the middle of fae invasion after she almost dies & the last spicy seen). A less explicit scene here would have been better to close it out.
I always like a little wrap up for the happily ever after so I am glad that played out but felt Ryatt didnt get what he deserved.
Also think that Orea's civil war was a huge part and that felt incredibly unfinished because the core group ends up in Annwyn so Orea is left as a loose end.
Judd 😭
Overall still felt it was a solid Romantasy with fantastic audio ❣️”
