Gods of Wrath and Ruin Reviews

4.5
“I was given an advanced reader copy of Gods of Wrath and Ruin by D.M. Swartwout in exchange of my honest review. This book has some fun spicy scenes, I'd give it 3 chili peppers. This is book two following Queen of Ash and Ruin. We step right back into the world exactly where we left off in book one. We have the same plethora of characters, gods, succubus, shifters, witches and fae. My favorite characters in this book are both strong bad ass women. I love Penixia because even though she wants to be there for the one that saved her she still has to find a way to do the right thing. Then we have Keena, she is strong and smart. When she finds out something that would ruin anyone else, she stands up and battles her way through the challenge. I enjoy the world building in this book because you are reading multiple POV's with lots of action while still learning about the world you are in. The character growth, the romantic interests and the visual aspects of this book are excellent. The only negative thing I can say is at times I felt the author was giving repetitive details. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this journey, and I am patiently waiting for book 3. If you like action-adventure fantasy with the perfect amount of spice and romance do yourself a favor and check this series out.”
“This is the sequel to Queen of Ash and Ruin! The story is even better than the first one, and the art is absolutely gorgeous! I like that we get a guide on how to say then names because I definitely wasn't pronouncing them the first time!”
“This is book 2 in this series and it is amazing. Please check your trigger warning first as they’re listed in the front. The art is beautiful and the story is even better! I can’t wait for more!!! I love the pronunciation guide as it was very helpful.”
