Publisher Description

Remy
For the last twenty years, hockey has been my life. As a thirty-two-year-old backup goalie, on what could be my final contract, I need to game time if I hope to get an offer next year. Problem? The goalie coach is a former rival, and he's not happy I'm living next door to his ex-wife. My career is in his hands, so the smart play is to keep her at arms length.
It would be easier if she wasn't so kind, to me and my rescue dog. She's the most amazing woman I've met, but this can't go anywhere. Her dreams are in Austin, and if the Aces let me go, my hockey career is over and I have no legal standing to be in the country.
She's from a family of famous people, her ex was a better goalie than me, and I have nothing to offer, but my stupid heart won't let go.

Sophie
I'm surrounded by superstars, including my ex-husband, so I'm used to being in the shadows, fixing guitars out of the limelight. I want to expand my business, but without my family's support, I'm doing it the hard way. Then Remy moves into the apartment over my workshop, and my ex freaks out.
Remy's only here for the season, and spending time with me could hurt his career, so obviously we should ignore everything that's pulling us together. But he's the first person in a long time to see me, not the famous people around me. And when I need to feel desirable after a horrible evening, he makes me feel irresistible.
How can I ask him to risk his hockey dreams when being with me is career suicide?

Goalie Interference Reviews

“I have continued to be extremely impressed by this series! I enjoyed the diversity of the characters, and the animals in this book make such a heartwarming addition. I would definitely recommend this series!”
“This was definitely a sweet read, I don't think it actually falls on the enemies to lovers category tho, yes Sophie wasn't very happy to get stuck with Remy at the beginning, but taking in consideration the situation I feel like it was a normal reaction, however their friendship involved pretty quickly. But it was definitely a sweet, quick romance, loved how sweet, supportive and loving Remy is. If you a animal lover like me, this book it will definitely warm your heart.”
“I got the ARCs for the whole Austin Aces shared world, of which this is the last book🥹 This was definitely a fun and light read! I took a while to finish it as I’ve been pretty busy and also I think I need a break from romance for a few books or I’ll be in a slump. I loved that the FMC forged her own path despite her family and that the MMC also struggles with his career🫣 I always feel like flaws are an important detail and I feel like it was achieved in this book. 🫶🏻”
“A book with a mischievous kitty and dog who are working to set their owners up while also causing them grey hair? That's always a fun read. This story revolves around Sophie, a neglected daughter and Remy, a man who is just trying to find his home. Circumstances lead to them being around each other. They learn about each other and themselves throughout the book while dealing with some funny antics of their pets. Remy is a goalie on Austin Aces, and he develops throughout the book as the loner goalie into a solid member of the team. Sophie is a woman on a mission to carve her own path and not fall into a family legacy, and she has a great arch throughout on finding her own boundaries and goals. I enjoyed the way they both approached the romance between them with constant checks on each other and supporting each other in their different ways. They bring a very mature type of love story to this series. You can tell these two think before they act and are also very aware of their legacy in their own field. While they have their ups and downs, I didn't find the story to be one of turmoil or sadness, but just two adults who are going through very real things and having to navigate their feelings and emotions. I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this amazing novel and am leaving a review of my own thoughts and feelings.”
