“#2 in the series and getting to really see character development in lei as she experiences things outside of her bubble
the mission oriented approach this book had set a good pace

“Spoiler free review:
I enjoyed this book a bit less than the first one, because the life in the palace was very interesting to me and we didn’t get any of that (for obvious reasons).
I was also really annoyed with many of the characters.
After the ending I am really excited to see how the next book will turn out.
Spoilers:
- Lova was annoying me a lot and I would hate her if I was Lei.
- Wren always had her secrets and that already annoyed me in book one but it was even worse in this book. For her it’s logical to keep so many secrets hidden from Lei but it is not helpful when you are fighting in a war. I would’ve broken up with her (Wren).
- the death of Bo was really sad. I felt really sorry for his twin sister
