Ghosts of November - as a massive solar storm and major blizzard build over Lake Superior a freighter hauling iron ore encounters a foundering wreck. Meanwhile a weary traveler from Southern Florida arrives in Michigan's Upper Peninsula to take possession of his grandfather's estate and finds a mysterious photo.
As the storm builds the ethereal boundary between the natural and supernatural worlds fades. Soon nature's wrath surrounds and engulfs them both as it wreaks havoc on both land and sea.
At sea Captain Taylor is totally immersed in the here and now of protecting his ship and crew. On land Karl Novak is drawn into an exploration of past mysteries that surround his grandfather and himself. Neither could have ever suspected that their fates will become strangely intertwined - guided it seems by interventions from the other side.
