“I’m excited to kick this one off. I love urban fantasy and paranormal romance. I would consider this one more of an upper YA. The two main characters are 15-16 years old. There are some spicy scenes in the book. I absolutely loved Orla and Molly’s powers. A banshee and a soul possesser do not come around often in books. And these two best friends have their own love story. They keep their powers hidden and are trying to solve a mystery of life or death of course. This was a binge worthy read and I loved the character interactions and relationships. If you love this genre, you’ll love this one.”
“Spice: 2 stars When I tell you I inhaled this book… Ghostly Howls is a paranormal thriller romance set in a small town in the United States with Irish roots. The two POV characters are of friends and roommates Orla and Molly. The two have supernatural gifts: Orla can possess souls with touch, while Molly is a half banshee and can sense when death is near. These gifts prove to be useful to solve the ghostly mystery haunting their town. I definitely enjoyed the Irish folklore tied to the magic and mystery, and the small town vibe. The romance arcs are two. Orla and Dave are friends who have been platonic forever, seeing as Orla is afraid to accidentally possess his soul. Molly and Cormac, instead, is the lesbian pairing, whose drama lies in the fact that Cormac is keeping secrets. Really liked both pairings and the weight given to them both. I was rooting for them both, even though both Dave and Cormac had their moments that made me suspect. This was a very fast and enjoyable read that I recommend to fans of paranormal books and thrillers! Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy. Opinions are my own.”
“I flew through Ghostly Howls on audiobook and it was so fun. I am loving the multi-POVs and fast-paced writing style. Cannot wait to see how this one ends! Keep an eye out for my full review to come on Goodreads later this week! What to Expect: —Irish Folklore —Small Town USA —Paranormal Mystery —Fantasy Romance —LGBTQ+ Characters Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts and opinions expressed above are entirely my own.”
“I enjoyed this title! Super quick read with lots to love! Paranormal romance takes me back to my teen years, I was obsessed and I absolutely loved them. This is perfect for fans of a small town romance, a haunting mystery, supernatural gifts, and light on the spice. Orla and Molly were so fun to follow, I love their powers. Molly is a banshee/seer and Orla has the power to possess a soul by touching them. It’s so intriguing to see them unravel the plot and the mystery. All this happens while having their romance which I was all in for! I absolutely love Cormac and Dave, they really added to the plot and the growth of the sisters. Definitely give this a go if you love mystery! Huge thanks to the author for gifting me a copy. All opinions are my own.”
