“3,25⭐️ Um ótimo início de livro perdido após chegar aos 50% deste livro. Não sei o que se passou na mente das autoras mas na verdade este segundo volume foi all over the place!
O que mais gostei 🙂:
- o início do livro foi incrível, despertou em mim sentimentos bem fortes após o final de Dire Bound, e este livro fez-me sentir um ódio incrível pelo vilão da história, o que eu sempre agradeço.
- o ritmo do livro achei até bastante bom, rápido, com muita coisa a acontecer e sem grandes momentos mortos;
O que não gostei 🤔:
- este livro é considerado uma Romantasia logo esperava um relacionamento minimamente bem trabalhado entre a FMC e o MMC. Até ao meio do livro adorei a tensão e o slow burn, até tudo descarrilar. E o impressionante é que tudo se perdeu no momento em que houve a aproximação entre a Meryn e o Stark. Uma relação sem qualquer paixão, sem carinho, sem comunicação e sem sentimento. As autoras, deixaram-me frustrada com as suas descrições de qualquer momento de intimidade entre os dois. Não houve um momento real de carinho, de vulnerabilidade. As descrições não faziam sentido, não despertavam sentimento. Senti mais ligação entre a Meryn e o Killian no primeiro livro do que entre ela e o Stark neste, o que para mim foi desolador. A tensão entre os dois amantes extinguiu-se no momento do primeiro beijo. E nem uma cena decente de uma conversa entre eles os dois nas tantas noites que parece que dormiram juntos, nos foram capazes de dar. Simplesmente neste livro e para minha decepção, não consegui sentir nenhuma conexão entre um casal tão esperado e com tanto potencial.
- O plot deste livro circulou, estendeu-se tanto e deu tanta volta que no final, quando o terminei olhei para trás e pensei: mas para que foi a cena A, B ou C? Totalmente sem sentido, muitas cenas foram introduzidas apenas pelo fator choque mas sem real impacto na narrativa. Desperdício completo de personagens! Aliás, muitas das cenas mais chocantes acho que destruíram completamente o potencial deste livro. Esperava tanto da Siegrid, perspectivei tanto o seu caminho de ascensão a vilã… tanto potencial estragado para no final voltar tudo à estaca zero e reinvenção total da história.
- a Meryn passou de uma FMC com algum potencial no primeiro livro para ser uma total frustração de Rainha. Nunca sabia o que queria, tanto poder mas sempre dependente de outros para a acordar. Para líder dos Strategos, conhecidos pela sua liderança e inteligência na visão militar, a Meryn mostrou andar constantemente perdida, à deriva e dependente do que os outros esperavam dela, nunca conseguiu idealizar um plano sozinha e nos momentos essenciais nunca sabia como negociar. Com a Siegrid fez erros crassos que ninguém numa posição de poder faria. Simplesmente não me mostrou estar à altura do que em teoria as autoras queriam que ela fosse.
Só me apetecia dizer, para darem a coroa à pobre Saela que mostrou ser mil vezes mais capaz do que a irmã mais velha.
- O sistema de magia andou, tal como o resto deste livro, perdido, reformulado a cada 5 capítulos, e por isso há imensas falhas na explicação e utilização dos poderes ao longo de toda a narrativa.
Em conclusão ✍️:
Uma saga que me desiludiu e desinteressou neste segundo livro. Uma vez que o terceiro é o último livro ainda não decidi se lhe irei dar oportunidade mas neste momento a minha vontade é dar DNF. Neste momento não sinto nenhum interesse, a história perdeu o sentido e nem o romance o salvou.”
“I have been waiting for Fury Bound to be released, forcing myself to read slowly and savor it. Honestly DID NOT expect the ending. I knew there had to be a twist, but WHAT WAS THAT. It's rare that I'm suprised, but here we are... There had better be a redemption arc coming for Stark. 😭 10/10 recommend this series!”
