“I have watched the Today Show pretty faithfully since I was in college and Katie Couric joined the morning ensemble. I watched from my hospital bed awaiting the birth of our second child when Hillary Clinton was interviewed by Matt Lauer during her "vast right wing conspiracy" days as first lady. I was making cookies in my kitchen when Katie Couric first announced that a single engine airplane may have flown into one of the Twin towers only later to find out it was an act of terrorism. It has been a part of my morning routine for a long time. So I was grateful for the opportunity to revisit these milestones and many others in the 60 year account on the history of this important morning program. While the beginning of the book was irrelevant to me because of the early days of the show, the descriptions of the seasons in which I am most familiar with were good to read. The book is a little disorganized in spots, yet still very well done.”
