“This book works off two main time lines. Present day and 7 years prior…
Personally I was not a fan of it.
It also timestamps the place, date and time which is helpful but it’s too much back and forth in my opinion.
There will be chapters where you are in the past for a few chapters and then present but then in the present chapter you might go back a year or two. It’s annoying.
In a way it feels like the author is trying to continuously add to the story but I don’t feel like it’s needed. Making the chapters somewhat long.
Once I hit chapter 8. I was over it. It’s almost like just get to the meat of the story. Too much build up and back story that could have been cut. Sometimes. Less is more.
I also found it kind of weird that Cam would call Jessie princess when that’s what her dad would call her. Idk maybe it’s just me.
I will say that in the beginning of the book, the author lists the characters and what part they play/who they are. I had forgotten who was who or what their personal details were anyways.
I was going to power through this book but I lost interest as a whole and could care less about this story. There is also a lot of places mentioned in the story that I felt a little lost with trying to remember who went where and what not.
