“Mary Alford is the queen of Amish suspense and this one just adds another jewel to her crown!
Elijah and Paige are wonderful protagonists and work well together trying to prove her innocence. Which is not easy to do, considering just how many bad actors are trying to kill them both.
The assistance they receive from their community is a beautiful thing to watch. This is how we’re supposed to come together when one of us is in trouble.
Some jaw dropping twists await in the last chapters and when I say your jaw will drop I’m not kidding! Amazing how she fits everything together without allowing us to see it coming.
I have to be completely honest. Out of all of the memorable characters, my favorite has to be Gunner. He’s the true hero in my opinion. But you’ll have to read it to meet him!
I received an advance copy from the publisher. My review was not solicited and I’m under no obligation.”
