“This was a great second instalment of the Dancing Realms series! It did have a bit of a different feel than the first, more adventurous and twisty! I enjoyed seeing Carya grow in her faith, and could relate to her struggles and doubts.
One thing I didn’t love is how she committed to being in a relationship with Brantley without her knowing fully if he was a follower of the Maker. As the story continues, we understand that Brantley always did believe in Him, but was angry at him and didn’t know if the Maker cared about him individually. But with how important Carya says her relationship with the Maker is (and given how strong the allegory/Christian references are), I wish Brantley had fully committed to the Maker before they solidified their relationship
There are moments of joy and fun in this book, and also moments of sacrifice and grief. I did really enjoy the ending and I’m looking forward to how the characters grow in book three!”Atris Meyers
