Publisher Description

A routine transport becomes anything but routine. A space station maintenance worker finds himself fighting off an invasion. A routine test flight becomes a first contact situation. A weary soldier must save an abandoned child, more than once. A veteran mech pilot and his crew are betrayed by those they are sworn to protect. A stockpile of old rations is worth more than it seems. A young lieutenant commander finds herself using skills she didn't knew she had when a simple mission becomes much more than anyone expected.

Space opera and military science fiction were favorite genres of Caroljean Hansen, a long-time supporter of science fiction and fantasy conventions and events all around Utah, including Life, the Universe, & Everything. She worked at the Marriott Library at the University of Utah for decades, and she put a lot of effort into increasing literacy in Utah and beyond. She was a true pillar in the local community, a true example of glory and honor.

About Jaleta Clegg

Jaleta Clegg was born some time ago and has filled the years since with plenty of make-believe. She writes science fiction adventure, fantasy of all flavors, and silly horror. When not writing, she enjoys playing with yarn, cooking weird vegetables, designing costumes and quilts, and generally messing around.
She has published eleven volumes in her Altairan Empire series, has written many short works and has multiple collections collecting them, most recently Waiting for Elephants. Jaleta is co-editor of the LTUE Benefit Anthologies series.

Joe Monson

Joe Monson loves reading, books, and butter mochi. He has worked at a couple dozen different jobs during his life. In his current job, he valiantly battles worms, trojans, viruses, corruption, hardware, and updates to keep computer systems running.
He has co-edited multiple anthologies with Jaleta Clegg in the LTUE Benefit Anthologies series, and he's the series editor of the Legacy of the Corridor publication series from Hemelein Publications. His most recent anthology, The Horror at Pooh Corner, was a successful Kickstarter and was released in bookstores worldwide in 2024.
Joe writes short stories and is outlining a space opera adventure series. He collects science fiction and fantasy art, but not as much as Paul (as if that was even possible). He lives in the tops of the mountains with his thoroughly amazing wife, three miracle children, and their pet library.
